National Action Plan (NAP)
National Action Plan is an action plan which was given its firm constitutional shape by Government of Pakistan in 2015. The plan underlying twenty important amendments was a quick reaction against atrocious attack on APS Pe- shawar when terrorists from Tehreke Taliban Pakistan killed innocent students and many people in general. Since the very first day the plan was implanted at the nook?s of country and it got immense support from all and sundry political and military leadership of Pakistan.
The plan?s major principle was to sabotage terrorist networks by impairing extremist activities: publication of hatred speeches, viral videos on social media against Pakistan and outfits carrying logos to propagate sectarian violence. Zarb-e-Azb, henceforth a military operation was initiated at the North West? of Pakistan to demolish out the roots??? of terrorist agencies. The plan made sure that military courts headed by high profile judges follow strict timeline for speedy trial of terrorists.
In my personal view implementation of the National Action Plan (NAP) is a shared responsibility and all institutions need to play their roles while remaining within the realm of the constitution. Government of Pakistan?s initiatives have shown visible results in the form of improved law and order situation across the country and it aims to continue NAP and all other initiatives to eliminate extremism and terrorism from the country. The government has taken all its decisions in an open and transparent manner, keeping the national interest as its foremost priority. It has very successfully developed and implemented security plans on important days like Eids and Muharram to foil the vicious designs of terrorists.
Albert Einstein once said that Peace cannot be kept by force; it can only be achieved by understanding. Peace is nec- essary for every nation and every country to develop socially as well as politically. Absence of peace is a world-wide problem. I, being a Pakistani firmly believe that to achieve peace: Overcome evil with good, falsehood with truth and hatred with love.
