President – CEO Clubs Spain
Evolve: You have a very impressive profile when we look at your career journey. We are observing a professional who has a portfolio of a banker where you made a rigorous switch towards the professional evolution in logistic services. Please our readers with your take over this journey?
Mr. Jose Maria Perez Gomez: First and foremost, I want to express my gratitude to EVOLVE Business Publication for providing me with the chance to communicate with its readers. In terms of my work experience, I was employed at Societe General Bank in Spain. Since 1906, the Societe Generale Group has provided retail banking services in Spain. The Group is currently one of the market's leading segments in Spain. I worked with Curves International after that. Leading logistics provider Curves International is present in 70 countries worldwide. Following these two well publicized experiences, I decided to pursue a novel business venture: providing parking services for the major rail stations, ports, and airports in Spain. In addition, I work in the footwear sector and export a Spanish footwear brand for long.
Evolve: What motivated you to get associated with CEO Clubs Worldwide, USA?
Mr. Jose Maria Perez Gomez: In the West, the value of networking has long been understood. For this reason, there is a network of corporate clubs that operate locally to connect with as few business people as possible. In actuality, it all comes down to treating people nicely. Another crucial component of accumulating wealth is networking. Local clubs can't compare to CEO CLUBS WORLDWIDE - USA because it offers a global platform that facilitates mergers, acquisitions, joint ventures, and investment opportunities at both local and international levels. It also helps individuals advance personally and strengthens businesses. This was the main justification for signing with CEO Clubs World Wide - USA because of its global operations for networking growth. Mr. Joseph Mancuso is a prolific author of books and possesses an intelligent demeanor. As a result, CEO Clubs Worldwide continues to enjoy prosperity and success.
Evolve: How are you inspiring non-members to get attracted towards CEO Clubs Worldwide?
Mr. Jose Maria Perez Gomez: It's a fantastic initiative to draw individuals to a club where they already belong to a comparable platform, but in my opinion, worldwide connectedness is what the world needs, and only CEO CLUBS WORLDWIDE is providing this enormous range of opportunities for growth. Twice a year, members from all over the world gather, creating new chances for company development, joint ventures, and mergers. This value will entice outsiders to join this group.
Evolve: What are the important benchmarks if kept in a right direction can help any company to climb a ladder of success?
Mr. Jose Maria Perez Gomez: I have made this extremely obvious.
They are listed below.
- Astute Guidance
- Astute Administration
- Expertise Provided
Evolve: How do you perceive the role of marketing to make the business successful?
Mr. Jose Maria Perez Gomez: I have never engaged in any marketing efforts for CEO Clubs, despite the fact that individuals do place advertisements on my website. I think referrals are important because without them, businesses would fail. I didn't need any promotion because my name was already well-known thanks to my novels. You will need to plan fantastic events for a magazine, just like all of the top publications worldwide do. In addition to bringing in money, this will improve leadership. I think you'll need to use tact instead of the typical ways.
Evolve: How to maintain a diversified culture in your organization ensuring the respect of every belief/doctrine?
The tale of preserving the culture begins with choosing the appropriate resources for your company. The right man will conform to your standards. In this situation, management plays an even more important role as they have to lead by example and respect all beliefs and rules. Next, it concerns the employee's ongoing professional growth, which shapes him to the point when he instinctively abides by the game's rules.

Evolve: European nations and especially Spain are very much concerned about the access of women to education and their participation in professional careers. How are you supporting Pakistani women in this regard?
Mr. Jose Maria Perez Gomez: I always like to say that no nation can achieve real development and progress without incorporating half of its population to working life. I can share my country´s own experience. Spain, in South Western Europe, was until the 1950s, a very traditional society. Things started to change gradually in the late 50s and throughout the 60s when women started to get into the labor force. Since then I think the role of women started to be acknowledged as key to the progress of our society. I do not believe in miracles. I do believe in bringing all sectors of the society together. No country can afford to live without or do away with 51 or 52% of its total population. I remind you that men are the minority and women are the majority, and that’s the way it works. Coming to Pakistan, there are some positive developments in this regard. More and more women work in public institutions. I am not just talking about being the prime minister, I am talking about ministers of state or members of Parliament, and from that level down. Women should also be more visible. Everything that serves to promote women’s role and visibility in public life should also lead to provide equal opportunities. At the end of the day, it all comes down to a question of opportunities. Providing opportunities to women so they can choose whether they want to attend college or not. I know that there are many women in this country who are already attending colleges and universities but after that they get married and decide to stay home. Well, I hope that trend will change in the future but at least they have the opportunity and they hopefully make their own personal choice. In a related matter, I would like to add that every year the Embassy of Spain provides support to some local NGOs working on rural women. For what we discuss with these local agencies and organizations, women´s economic empowerment is a key issue. The fact is that agriculture is still a major employer of women in this country. According to the law, women in rural areas enjoy equal rights to men in terms of issues such as land ownership or inheritance. However, the problem arises with the implementation and enforcement of those laws and this is where I’m afraid there is still a long way to go. It is one of the most pressing issues in this country, economic empowerment for both rural and urban women but especially for rural women who tend to find themselves in general terms in a more difficult plight than women living in urban centers.
Evolve: What are the most suitable sectors for Spanish businessmen to invest in Pakistan and what initiatives are required to be taken to connect business community of both the countries?
Mr. Jose Maria Perez Gomez: Spanish companies are already doing business and investing here. Spanish companies are very competitive in many different sectors such as air traffic control, airport management, engineering consultancy, construction, infrastructures. As I mentioned earlier, Pakistani exports to Spain consist mostly of finished textile products. The reason is because some of the most important retailing companies in the world are Spanish and they are buying your products. Some of them have already opened stores in Pakistan like Mango. Pepe jeans and other Spanish companies also opened shops here. Then there is another Spanish company, Calidad Pascual, which is into food processing and selling dairy products. Spanish machinery and equipment companies are also exporting goods to Pakistan. I must say that the interest of our companies has been on the rise in the last few years. I think CPEC has been quite an important shift for the image of this country. The Chinese have announced investments for more than $45 billion USD in Pakistan. Still we all are aware that the index of ease of doing business in this country is not really very high. Therefore, I believe that Pakistani authorities have to redouble efforts in order to achieve a more positive image in the rest of the world. International business climate always keeps shifting; it moves very fast and the world is becoming smaller, so Pakistan with 200 million people country and a rising middle class should have a good chance to attract a sizeable portion of those international investments.
Evolve: How as a CEO you communicate your organization’s strategic directions and ways to communicate a lucid company’s vision to each employee?
Mr. Jose Maria Perez Gomez: As long as I stay in contact with my team, it is rather easy. I regularly seek out analysis and monitor market developments. Next, create a precise road map with a well-defined plan and rigorous time management. Everyone can now clearly see what has to be done and how to achieve it. Clear communication is necessary. You won't be able to get greater outcomes if you can't communicate effectively. Thus, clearly communicate the company's vision and then anticipate others doing the same.
Evolve: Can you name a person who has had a tremendous impact on you as a Leader?
Mr. Jose Maria Perez Gomez: Elon Mask. Elon Reeve Musk is a South African-born Canadian-American business magnate, investor, engineer, and inventor. He is the founder, CEO, and CTO of SpaceX; Co-founder, CEO, and product architect of Tesla Inc.; Co-founder and Chairman of SolarCity; Co-chairman of OpenAI; Co-founder of Zip2; and founder of X.com, which merged with Confinity and took the name PayPal. As of March 2017, he has an estimated net worth of $13.9 billion, making him the 80th wealthiest person in the world.
Evolve: How do you perceive about Pakistan and what are your future plans to take business initiative in Pakistan?
Mr. Jose Maria Perez Gomez: I am aware that Pakistan is becoming a more favorable place to conduct business, and I think CEO Clubs Pakistan would be the ideal resource for providing our members with a variety of commercial prospects. We also want to organize a business trip to Pakistan in the future to investigate potential commercial opportunities.
