KP-BOIT’s Dubai Investment Road Show

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Government and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Board of Investment and Trade (KP-BOIT) organized an Investment Road Show exclusively sponsored by Multi Donor Trust Fund managed by the World Bank to show case the highly attractive and lucrative Investment seeking projects in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on 25th February, 2015 at Armani Hotel Dubai, UAE.

The Investment Road Show (IRS) was designed to attract foreign investment. It was a curtain raiser for prevailing Investment policy regime and displaying focused investment opportunities in a formal manner to potential and current investors.

280 prominent foreign and local investors, diplomats and Government officials of the UAE attended the IRS.

The program included comprehensive presentations highlighting the policy parameters, incentive and opportunities for investment in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Later sector and project focused presentation for closed interest groups and one - on - one meetings with specific projects representatives were conducted.

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa – IRS highlighted the investment opportunities in:

• Energy & Power
• Oil & Gas Sector
• Tourism Sector
• Mines & Mineral Sector
• Housing Sector
• Agriculture Sector

The specific Government approved and investment ready projects within these sectors were also unfolded during the event. The Road Show provided a forum for investors to directly interact with the relevant decision makers of each project.

Mr. Imran Khan, Chairman PTI chaired the event where he discussed how this Government is making environment conducive for investors while protecting investor’s interest. He met the delegates and extended his complete assistance throughout the event.

1. Tourism

• Development of Theme Part at Nathiagali
• Development of Tourist Recreation, Sports Facilities, Theme Park at Hund, District Swabi (Indus River on M1 Motorway)
• Development of Tourist Recreation, Sports Facilities, Theme Park at Kheshki, District Nowshera
• Outsourcing of Government Rest House (14)
• Development of Tourism Resort at Takhtbahi Archaelogical Remain
• Modernization of Ayubia Chairlift Resort  

2. Mines & Minerals

• Establishment of Cement Plant
• Exploration of Metallic Minerals Resources
• Exploration of Marble & Granite Quarrying Plant

3. Agriculture & Livestock

• Date Farming and Processing Unit at D. I. Khan
• Sheep Farming at Jaba, Mansehra (Wool, Mutton Production and Processing)

4. Energy & Power

• Establishment of Oil Refinery (Up to 50,000 BPD)  
• Hydro Power Projects (20 MW - 144 MW)
• Oil and Gas Exploration & Production
• Establishment of 400 MW (400 x 1 or 200-225x2)  Gas Turbine Combined Cycle Power 

5. Housing

• Development of Model Town Peshawar (Sports City) 

Foreign investors have shown their keen interest in different sector projects particularly setting up a Oil Refinery in District, Kohat. KP-BOIT is on its way to finalize the LOI / Proposals received from the investors.
