Nepalese Army Command and Staff College
13th January 2016
A 23 members delegation of Nepalese Army Command and Staff College, headed by Brigadier General Jadaish Chandra Pokharei visited DEPO Display Centre. A briefing regarding role of DEPO was given to the members of delegation. After the visit of Display Centre, souvenir was presented to Head of delegation by DG Depo. Members appreciated hard work of Pakistani scientists and engineers.



National Defence Session of Oman

A 21 x members delegation headed by AVM Salim Bin Musallam Quton from NDC, Oman visited DEPO Display Centre. The delegation called on DG DEPO Maj Gen Agha Masood Akram, HI(M) followed by visit of the Display Centre.


National Assembly Standing Committee On Defence Production

National Assembly Standing Committee on Defence Production headed by Chairman Khawaja Sohail Mansoor visited state of the art Display Centre recently established by Defence Export Promotion Organization (DEPO) at Defence Complex Islamabad (DCI). The members include Mr. Rajab Ali Khan Baloch, Mr. Muhammad Khan Daha, Dr. Ramesh Kumar Vankwani, Chudhary Hamid Hameed, Syed Muhammad Ashiq Hussain Shah, Mr. Bhawan Das, Ms. Amra Khan, Ms. Iffat Liaqat, Ms. Asiya Nasir visited the stalls where quality products from HIT, POF, PAC, KS&EW, GIDS, NRTC, training packages offered by three services, PMTF, PSM, IOP, MVRDE, ARDE, Strategic Export Control Div, National Systems, Metasco Intl, Panaforce, Fast Cable, Afridi Arms, CARE, SARG, Daud Sons, East West Infiniti, Askari Shoes (AWT), Pak Business Aviation, Soft Innovative Systems, Akhtar Industries and Shibli Electronics are displayed at one platform.
The Honourable Members were briefed that due to spirit of self reliance and as a result of hard work of our scientists and engineers, our Defence Industry has achieved the indigenous capability to completely overhaul, repair and modernize the military hardware in Pakistan. It was also briefed that both public and private sectors of Pakistan have developed a tremendous capacity to manufacture small and heavy weaponry. The role of DEPO is to promote, and coordinate export of high quality Defence products and services. The purpose of the Display Centre is to optimize the potential of public and private sectors in the defence export and to proudly showcase Pakistani indigenous defence capability and military prowess to all the foreign military delegations visiting Pakistan.
The Members appreciated efforts of MoDP and DEPO for showcasing major Defence related products manufactured by the public and private sector DPEs under one roof.
